I am concious there are a few bits that need re-doing,namely the utility arms,i need to make them more 3d,the holo projectors are bad efforts, anyone know a source of good parts to make these?,i would like at least one to move about with a servo eventually.
Total cost so far is about £60,everything is scratch built from aluminium, plastic, wood, junk, steel.
I am just in the process of working on the dome lighting, i have a nice set of 12v lights from hong kong that flash blue and red for the front and back processor status lights, anybody know how to obtain the logic display lights?,a sort of grid fashion i have seen on some nicely done r2's.
I reckon on looking at about another year and i will have a fully operational radio controlled R2 unit, then i may make another learning from my mistakes, maybe a R5 project.

There are also several videos I have posted on YouTube. Just search 'Calvertfilm R2'. Or check out the last one:

But I am after buying an accurate and working one at some point. I have cash waiting in the bank. So if ever you wish to find a new home for your accurately made Astromech, please email me.

Regards,
